Create the Perfect Boho Aesthetic

I started the way I always do, with these two worksheets from the Interior Design Handbook for Beginners.

And this time I put together a FREE shopping list with the budget planner.

Use it to get started for your next home improvement project. Boho design is a timeless style that is easy to make uniquely yours. Boho design elements include:

  • Layered Textures – Achieving a boho aesthetic bedroom means combining different textures, such as macrame wall hangings, woven blankets, linen bedding, and jute rugs. These layers create a warm and inviting atmosphere.
  • Natural Materials – Wood, bamboo, rattan, and cotton bring an organic touch to your bedroom. These elements are essential for crafting an earthy, relaxed ambiance.
  • Global and Vintage Accents – Incorporating unique cultural pieces, like Moroccan poufs, Indian tapestries, and antique furniture. These elements add personality and a sense of wanderlust.
  • Indoor Plants – Greenery is a must-have in any boho bedroom. Use hanging plants, potted succulents, and leafy vines to enhance the space’s fresh and natural feel.
  • Soft and Cozy Lighting – Warm lighting is key to setting the mood. Consider string lights, lanterns, and woven pendant lamps to create a cozy glow.
