There’s something about March.

The light lasts a little longer. The air feels a little lighter. And suddenly… we start noticing things.

The dusty corners. The half-finished projects. The spaces that don’t quite feel like us anymore.

Spring has a way of inviting us to begin again.

But here’s what I believe: Refreshing your home doesn’t have to mean tearing everything apart or starting a giant renovation. Sometimes it just means a thoughtful reset.

This month, I want to help you focus on three simple areas,

1️⃣ Clear the Clutter Before You Clean

Before you pull out the mops and scrub brushes, take 20 minutes in one room and remove what doesn’t belong.

Not a full-house overhaul. Not an 8-hour decluttering marathon. Just one small win. For me it's my mud room!

When we create space first, everything else feels easier — cleaning, organizing, even decorating.

If you need structure, my Declutter Workbook walks you through it step by step so you’re not staring at a pile wondering what to do next.

2️⃣ Handle the “Invisible” Spring Maintenance

March is the perfect time to:

  • Check HVAC filters
  • Test smoke detectors
  • Clean out dryer vents
  • Walk your exterior for winter damage
  • Schedule AC servicing

These aren’t glamorous tasks… but they protect the home you work so hard for.

If you love having it all in one place, this is exactly why I created the Home Maintenance Workbook. It keeps you ahead of the chaos instead of reacting to it.

3️⃣ Refresh One Space — Intentionally

You don’t need to redo your entire house.

Choose one space that’s been bothering you. I like to change the blanket on my bed and maybe get new curtains.

Then ask:

  • Does the layout work?
  • Does the color still feel right?
  • What small change would make this feel finished?

Maybe it’s:

  • Swapping pillow covers
  • Adding wallpaper in a powder bath
  • Rearranging furniture
  • Creating a simple mood board for direction

A small refresh can completely shift how your home feels. I created worksheets for you to stay organized while refreshing a room. Find them in the Weekend Home Refresh.

🌼 Your March Challenge

Pick ONE:

  • One drawer to declutter
  • One maintenance task to complete
  • One room to lightly refresh

That’s it. Forward motion creates motivation.

And as always, my goal is simple: Support you to feel confident and capable in your home. Whether you’re maintaining it, organizing it, or dreaming about what’s next — I’m here for you.

Here’s to lighter days and homes that feel peaceful.

Clean kids room hack

Hi friend, I had one of those little parenting moments recently that completely changed the way I think about organizing. For years, I thought the answer to a cleaner kids' room was more reminders. "Put your laundry in the hamper." "Pick up your backpack." "Hang up your clothes." There had to be a better way! What are these piles trying to tell me? LOL If the dirty clothes always end up at the foot of the bed...maybe the laundry basket belongs there. If backpacks always land by the back...
