My little parenting moment

Hi friend,

I had one of those little parenting moments recently that completely changed the way I think about organizing.

For years, I thought the answer to a cleaner kids' room was more reminders.

"Put your laundry in the hamper."

"Pick up your backpack."

"Hang up your clothes."

There had to be a better way!

What are these piles trying to tell me? LOL

If the dirty clothes always end up at the foot of the bed...maybe the laundry basket belongs there.

If backpacks always land by the back door...maybe that's where they should be stored.

Instead of trying to change my family's habits, I started changing the environment.

I call it The Pile Principle, and it's one of the biggest mindset shifts I've had as both a mom and an interior designer.

I just published a new blog post sharing this idea, along with real examples from our home, before-and-after photos, and short videos that show exactly what I mean.

As I was writing this article, I realized something. This is the same philosophy behind everything I create.

Whether it's my Home Maintenance Log Book, the DIY Interior Design Workbook, or my Home Renovation Planner, my goal is never to help you create a picture-perfect home.

It's to help you create a home that's easier to live in. A home that works for your family.

I'd love to hear from you...

What's the biggest "pile" in your house right now?

Just hit reply and tell me. It might even inspire my next article!

Have a wonderful weekend,

P.S. If you need a little more support decluttering your home, I have a digital workbook you must check out https://thishouseyourhome.etsy.com/listing/1632406852/declutter-workbook-declutter-checklist
